Cupz Game Mode - Recommended Mode For Advanced Players

What Is Cupz?
By now, we assume the reader knows all about Rampz, the original bag launch game. If not, just imagine Cornhole and Skeeball combined into a single amazing game where you slide mini bean bags down a runway and off of a ramp towards your opponent's target.

Cupz is one of two targets/game modes that come with the Rampz Game Set. It is the recommended game mode for more advanced players, since you have to be really precise with your shots, especially when you get down to the final cup. The objective of Cupz is to be the first to make all 6 cups.

The founder's favorite part about Cupz is that you get to stand next to your partner. Win or lose, you do it together! This is especially nice if you go to a party or event with mostly strangers and just want to stick with your friend. The difficulty behind Cupz is a double-edged sword. While it can be frustrating when you can't make the cup you are aiming for, it is also that much more satisfying when you do make it! The single player mode and ranking system is another favorite aspect that Cupz brings to the table. As someone that enjoys the challenge of improving his golf game and always loved climbing ranked leaderboards in video games, the Cupz Challenge brings elements of both into the competitive landscape.

How To Play Cupz
After you get Rampz set up with the Cupz targets inserted, each team stands behind a ramp and will stay there for the entire game. The team that goes first gets all four bags. If you are a beginner, feel free to use all 8 bags. Don’t forget who went first! The team that goes second will have a ‘Redemption Round’ if the team that shoots first is first to make all six cups. One player from each team (even if 2v2) shoots all four bean bags per round, and you must alternate which teammate is shooting each round. After the fourth shot, all cups that were successfully made should be removed from the target and the other team takes their turn.

How To Win Cupz
Once one team has made all cups, if they shot second, the game is over, and they claim victory. However, if they shot first, the other team now enters ‘Redemption Round’ where they have a chance to win the game by using less bags than the first team did, or tie up the game by using the exact same number of bags the first team did. If they are unable to make the remaining cups by the end of their turn, the game is officially over. If they tie up the game, get pumped for some Overtime!

Cupz Overtime
For Overtime gameplay, return 3 cups to the top 3 positions on each game target. Restart gameplay until all 3 cups are made for a team, but still grant the team that shoots second another ‘Redemption Round’ if applicable. Should they tie it up during an overtime ‘Redemption Round’, restart overtime gameplay and repeat as necessary.

FAQS
1. Why is Cupz recommended for more advanced players?
Cupz is recommended for more advanced players because you need to be much more precise with your shots than you do in the Pointz game mode. You have to be nearly perfect with your aim and speed, especially once you get towards the end of the game with just 1 cup remaining.

2. How can I speed up the game so that it doesn't take as long to finish?
To speed up the game, use all 8 bean bags instead of just 4. You can also modify the rules to your liking to make the game easier. Some possible rule modifications may include: the ability to do re-racks where the team can rearrange the remaining cup locations before they start their round, allowing the team to remove an additional cup for bonus bags landed in the same cup during a round, or modifying the number of cups needed to win from 6 cups down to 4 or 5 cups.

3. What is the #CupzChallenge record so far?
The current record for the #CupzChallenge as of July 25, 2024, is 11 shots. The current record is held by the founder of Pizzy Products and inventor of Rampz, Andrew Pizzullo. However, this record was set on one of the wooden prototypes for Rampz, so you could say there is no record at all until the official Rampz Game Sets start shipping out!
